Murderabilia
Álvaro Ortiz, born in Zaragoza in 1983, studied graphic design at the Escuela Superior de Diseño in Aragon and illustration at the Escola Massana in Barcelona. He published Cenizas, a comic he created at the Maison des Auteurs in Angoulême, in 2012, followed by Murderabilia in 2014, and Rituales, created at the Academia de España in Rome, in 2015. In 2016, commissioned by the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum, he created Dos holandeses en Nápoles (about Caravaggio) and published Viajes. His comics have been translated into French, Italian, Polish, and German.
Kathleen Archer is pursuing an MFA in literary translation at the University of Iowa. She translates from French and Spanish.
